Cobbing Courses 15th + 22nd May + 9th June

Come and learn how to build with cob and help us complete our Hub. We will be running 3 workshops with Jon Kalviac from the Brighton Permaculture project. These will be fun and interactive events with an experienced teacher.

The days will run from 10 – 4 with light refreshments and gloves will be provided. Bring a packed lunch.

There is a nominal charge of £30 per day for adults (children are free) Spaces are limited so book asap by emailing guildfordcommunitygarden@gmail.com

Spring Beltane Celebration 15th May 2022

Come and celebrate the Spring at the garden. Relax in the beautiful setting around the fire. We will be firing up the pizza oven, so bring a pizza or something to cook and drinks to share. No need to book, just come along from 4.30pm

Open Garden Summer Solstice 19th June 2022

Come and see the garden at its best and meet the volunteers (details tbc nearer the time)

Apple Pressing 9th October 2022

Come and join us for an autumn afternoon at the garden. There will be children’s activities, apple pressing, refreshments and a chance to look around the garden and meet the volunteers. Bring your surplus apples and turn them into delicious apple juice! Please bring clean bottles to take your apple juice away

Winter Wassail 15th Jan 2023

Come and sing around the fire with a warming drink and some shared food (details tbc nearer the time)

Big Job Sundays

Come and join in every last Sunday of the month to work together on a group project at the garden

From 12-4pm, bring a packed lunch. We’ll make a brew.

  • Work parties every Tuesday and Sunday afternoon between 2 and 5 pm
  • We also organise big projects such as hedge or tree planting, and wildlife surveys.
  • Scything course yearly.
  • Open garden with apple pressing (around the second week of October).
  • Occasional alfresco meals sharing produce from the garden.
  • This Spring we will start to build our Hub structure (see separate page for details)
  • Making a sustainable compost loo with willow
  • Pond building
